From what I can recall: Hap-baum (airplane), bus, car, truck, boat, cycle, grass, shoes, sock, bum, boob, boogies, bananis, apple (his favorite), cheese, buhberies, pasti, ahg (egg), plant, pokey pokey, ice, cup, bowl, plate, fohl (fork), espoonie (spoon), hot, cold, cool He loves this and says "cooool", ball, kitty, cat, puppy, book or bookie (obsessively), kick, dadda, mamma, babba, heeey, house, bug, buggie, pen, bean, seedsie (seeds), phone, bye, hi, stop, rock, foot, pony (ponytail), Elmo, tall (when he climbs on top of something), hohn (horn), go, hat, poo, pee, or the infamous poo-pee, uh-oh, back, pack or back (for backpack), cannel (candle), see (when he wants to see something), one, two, "Iago" (interchangeable for thank you or here-ya-go), up, down, no, in, out, gate, shut, open, on, close, sun, moon, pot, sit, cookie, kiss, hug, teeth, and many many more that he hits on once in awhile!!!
His obsessions are "bus, book, and apple." There could be worse things for a small child to be obsessed about than buses, books, and apples. His favorite pastime by far is being read to, and this takes up a large portion of his day. If he can eat an apple - an endeavor that takes up to an hour or more - while being read to, he'll be a very happy boy indeed. On a long drive or stroller trip where he might get bored and a little crabby? Break glass, pull out the apple, and buy yourself some time. Want to calm that high-speed, ever-growing brain and teach linguistic skills? Read him a book. We're pretty happy that a television will lose his attention relatively quickly - something usually only reserved for late-night teething benders - and books will never, ever get old.
Now all we need to do is get him on a bus and life will be good.
